Time 2, not Time part 2 but Time squared - how do you do that I wonder? This disc starts unpromisingly with a strange ditty for about four minutes that belies two fantastic ambient pieces followed by an experimental fourth piece. Track 2is a long building chill out that really works where other Namlook/Inoue pieces have become boring. As the track nears the final quarter we are treated to some gorgeous sub-bass, if your speakers can handle it you can almost go and swim in it. The third track uses this bass even as a signature for a clunky beat with hints of Autechre's style. Seriously engaging. Track four is less involving, 'I've got chillness illness' - the mood of the music somewhat reflects the title and moves around uneasily.
Nice inlay card cover - a street bench becomes a motif for an abstract mood. Inside the airport lounge picture has Namlook and Inoue credited on the notice boards - nice touch!
